The Women of Christ Lutheran ChurchPart of the Women of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America We are a community of women, aged 18 and over, created in the image of God. We are called to discipleship in Jesus Christ, and empowered by the Holy Spirit. We commit ourselves to growth in faith, affirm our gifts, support one another in our calling, engage in ministry and action , and promote healing and wholeness in the church, the society and the world. "Listen! God is calling" This is our theme. All of our activities, fundraisers, benevolence, and work will focus on this, as we work to fulfill God's call to us. Women can, and do, make a huge difference in this world! Be a part of it! The Symbol of WELCA
The cross, water and a water lily - this symbol identifies Women of the WELCA as baptized, forgiven children of God, full of grace, and hope of eternal life. It is a reminder of the growth, beauty, and vitality that rises out of hat life-giving baptismal water, and the mission of the church to make disciples of all nations and baptize them in the name of the Triune God.
