Ministry opportunities abound at Christ! Sharing your gifts can be fun and often requires no more than a few hours of your time.

Glorify God's Name-Worship Opportunities

Altar Guild  Prepare, setup Altar and clean up communion after service. Setup baptisms, change paraments, clean around altar. Training provided. Friday mornings once a month. Meetings 1st Thursday of the month (not required).

Festivals Committee Decorate the church for Holidays Approximately three hours during each holiday.

Chancel Bells No special talent needed, just ring bells with joy! Weekly practice with monthly performances.

Chancel Choir Must love to sing. Commitment to making a joyful noise for the Lord! Wednesday evening rehearsal and sing at 8:30 service.

    • Martha Circle meets the 2nd Saturday 9:30am
    • Sunrise Circle meets the 3rd Thursday 9:30am
  • Bible Studies
  • Retreats: A weekend retreat is held in early spring at a semi-distant location, offering an opportunity to recharge and renew ones spirit. A one day retreat is held each August atop Mt. Charleston, time is spent on Bible study, crafting learning and renewing ourselves and our faith.
  • Special events through the year including All God's Daughter Brunch, Secret Sis Program.

Stitch and Craft This group is involved in cross-stitch, needlepoint and various crafts, working on projects for the church as well as personal projects. 1st Tuesday 7:00pm

Foster God's Plan

Prayer Garden and Memorial Committee Oversee the records and maintenance of the Prayer Garden, record memorials, send acknowledgement cards .Meets quarterly, calling and writing letters

Trust Fund A fund established for members of the church to leave assets of their estate to be used for various outreach purposes. Varies

Stephen's Ministry Currently inactive

Office Volunteers Answer phones, greet visitors, and assist staff. Varies

Newsletter Mailing Volunteers Assemble and fold the newsletter and mail it. 4th Wednesday 9:00am

Bulletin Volunteers Fold weekly bulletins Fridays 9:00am

Maintenance Crew: Men doing project around the campus. Mondays 9:00am

Teach God's People

Confirmation ( Catechism 7th and 8th Grade) Small groups led by Pastor and Adult Guides Wednesday 6:00pm

Sunday School Children three years and up. Adult teachers and helpers Sundays 9:40 -10:20

Vacation Bible School Children 3 years old through 8th Grade. Christian Learning and fellowship. Crafts, recreation, music. Adult teachers and teen helpers. 5 day session 6:00 to 8:15 pm

Christmas Program Children ages three through 8th grade. Adult directors, costumes, sound and light coordinators Program 2nd Saturday Evening in December. Rehearsals Vary

Serve God's World

Lutheran Social Services Pantry Assist the needy in our community. Flexible

Martin's Mart Sort and sell used clothing and household items Varies

Prayer Group Meet to pray for members, people in crisis, world issues and praise God for his joys. Wednesday 9:15

Prayer Chain Receive requests for prayers and pass on to other members of your chain. Pray for those requests.

Prayer Net Receive request for prayers by way of E-mail and pray for those requests.

Jolly Quilters Cut pieces and sew together to make quilts to be given to local shelters and nursing homes Meet Tuesdays 9:00am except in the summer.

Boy Scouts Scouting Activities for boys' 11 years to 18 years. Adult leaders and helpers. Monday Scout meetings, and weekend outings each month

Cub Scouts Scouting Activities for boys' 6 years to 11 years. Adult leaders and helpers. Weekly Cub scout meetings, Monday and special activities.
