Dear Friends in Christ,

 

I really like this quote – we have a mission in life no matter what season of life we find ourselves in …

 

“Here is a test to find whether your mission on Earth is finished:  If you are alive, it isn’t” (Richard Bach).

 

I am fully convinced that God has supplied our church with a wonderfully diverse collection of Saints who are being called by God to be part of the mission of taking Good News out to the city of Las Vegas.  There are so many different ways to serve which fits in with so many people having gifts that differ.

 

Please seek out ways to become a deeper part of this faith community.  We are trying to open up more opportunities for involvement but sometimes we move too slowly.  Be proactive and get involved with Women’s or Men’s ministry.  Sign up to be a worship volunteer.  Come to a Bible study or Soup Supper and get connected with a few more people here at CLC.  There are many ways to be involved now and we will continue to open up ways that volunteers can serve God in His kingdom.

 

I am looking for a few more disciples for the Last Supper drama on Holy Thursday.  Right now, we have Jesus and nine disciples.  That’s not a very accurate Biblical picture!  If you’d like to be involved, you can e-mail me at pastor@christlutheranlasvegas.org.

Men’s Ministry – Men’s Breakfast Saturday at 8:30 am in Luther Hall

We will cook up a gourmet breakfast in the Social Hall and then we will serve breakfast and have a multi-media program in Luther Hall.

 

Youth and Family Ministry

Confirmation HAS MOVED TO SUNDAY MORNINGS at 9:30.  Vacation Bible School has been scheduled for June 21 through June 25.  We will kick-off VBS in worship on Sunday June 20 (which is also Father’s Day – this will be a big Sunday!) and conclude in worship the next week with a program presented by the children. 

We want your children, your grandchildren and your neighborhood children to be a part of this fantastic week!
